I am passionate about research into infectious disease, particularly avian influenza, and pandemic history. I have a J.D. degree and practiced in the healthcare law industry for over 10 years before moving into local public policy and health policy.
I believe that having an understanding of the research studies done on these avian viruses is critical for individual and community preparedness. This is especially the case with the current status of H5N1.
This bird flu virus has gone beyond scientific expectations time and again over the last several years and is doing things never before seen with this virus.
